Registered and Qualified

Registered Australian Migration Agents are authorised to provide visa / migration advice and to process visa application on their clients behalf.

By law, all persons offering migration advice operate within the Australian Migration Zone must:

Be Qualified in Australian Migration Law.

Registered agents must have a sound knowledge of Australian Migration Law.

Be Registered with The M.A.R.A.

Migration agents must be registered with the MARA ( The Migration Agents Registration Authority) . All registered agents will have a seven figure registration number.

Re Register Every Year.

All agents must re register each year after demonstrating they have kept abreast with changing legislation  (see below).

Demonstrate Continual Professional Development.

Registered Migration Agents must maintain a continual professional development programme.

Be Bound by a Code of Conduct.

Registered Migration Agents must abide by a code of conduct which will be presented once you engage an agent for any migration advice.

Although not mandatory, many agents, (including us) are members of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA).

The MIA has several functions including providing regular updates to its members on changes in Australian Migration Legislation and providing training seminars.
