Relaxed Country Atmosphere

Lovedale Cottages provide self contained, private, Hunter Valley accommodation, peacefully nestled amongst tall gum trees. They are accessed by a short country lane and are close to a host of vineyards and fine restaurants.

Escape the city stress amid 28 acres of vineyard and rural farmland bordered by National Park. Enjoy a walk in the bush, unwind by the pool, wallow in your own private spa or simply rest and relax in front of the fire.

Wake to Birdsong

Imagine waking to birdsongs, then sitting on your sunny verandah sipping a brew of plunger coffee or a pot of tea before indulging in a sumptuous breakfast of your choice. Your hosts Rosie & Paul supply a large complimentary breakfast hamper and offer friendly unobtrusive service and are happy to advise you on any queries you may have.

three Cottages

There is a choice of accommodation. The One Bedroom Cottage, the Two Bedroom Villa and the Three Bedroom Homestead. Each cottage has its own facilities for cooking - however the children's play area should help to fill in the children's day if they can find the time or excess energy. Smoking is permitted on the verandah but not inside the cottages.

One Bedroom Cottage

The One Bedroom Cottage is just the place for a couple to have a private escape, yet within easy reach of the wineries and attractions of the Hunter Valley.

The Two Bedroom Villa has been designed to accommodate a group of 2 to 4 people or a small family who wish to explore the beautiful Hunter area together. Each bedroom has its own spacious bathroom with a double corner spa.

The Three Bedroom Homestead provides a spacious living area with ample seating around the log fire and a large dining table for friends and family to gather together. This is perfect Hunter Valley accommodation for larger family groups or 3 couples with 2 bathrooms each with a double corner spa.

Driving To the Hunter:

1.5Hrs From Sydney (150Km)

11Hrs From Melbourne (1000Km)

10Hrs From Brisbane (830Km)

Directions From Sydney:
1. Take the Newcastle expressway, travel approx. one hour, take Cessnock turnoff from the freeway.
2. Follow signs into main street of Cessnock (Vincent Street). At the end of Vincent Street take a quick left, then right into Allandale road - following Braxton and Vineyard signs (you should pass McDonalds on your right).
3. Travel 5.3kms along Allendale/Braxton Road and turn right at that point into Lovedale Rd (golf course will be on the left as you turn into Lovedale Road).
4. Travel along Lovedale Road and another 3.5kms on, turn right into a dirt road (opposite Rosedale B&B) which is Brickmans Lane.
Lovedale Cottages is at the end of the road on the left - a distance of 0.8kms.

From New England Highway:
1. Head for the village of Greta. At the eastern end of the village, turn south next to the petrol station/general store and travel over the railway bridge and along Camp Road in the Lovedale area. 2. Turn right at the end of Camp Road onto Lovedale Road, heading towards Cessnock.
3. Travel for 5 km south along Lovedale Road, past the left hand turning of Majors Lane, and take the next left into Brickmans Lane, opposite Rosedale B&B.
Lovedale Cottages is at the end of the road on the left - a distance of 0.8kms.
