Built around a White Sandy Beach
The Resort is 'low rise' to harmoniously blend in with the environment and it is the only development on the island.
Hayman is a small, intimate island predominantly covered in eucalypt forests and with a perimeter of less than 5 miles, can be walked around in a few hours.
There are several walking tracks leading to breathtaking views, secluded bays and beaches.
Hayman is a relatively mountainous and its highest peak, Mt Carousel, is 250 metres above sea level. Hayman Island is within the Whitsunday Section of The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and a coral reef is located off the southern end of the island, just beyond the beach.
The resort, to the south west of the island, is built along the white sands of Hayman Beach and includes the accommodation wings, a shopping arcade, 6 restaurants, bars, a marina, Crèche, kids club (babysitting is available), tennis courts, leisure and spa centres, pools, gardens and even a Wedding Chapel.
Interconnected Lagoons and Pools
Hayman Island's beachside pools and lagoons are an integral feature of the resort.
The often photographed hexagonal Harman Pool Bar is within a larger lagoon and has interconnected boardwalks leading to the West Wing accommodation area.
A similarly sized East Wing Pool means that the East and West Wings offer truly waterfront accommodation as the pools are built right up to the lower level balconies.
Sports, Activities and Indulgences
Hayman Island can offer something for everyone whether it is scuba diving, game fishing or simply relaxing on a beach.
Tours to the Great Barrier Reef, other Whitsunday Islands and secluded beaches such as White Haven Beach are available.
There are floodlit tennis and squash courts, golf driving ranges and putting greens, snooker and pool, tables, croquet greens and a superbly equipped fitness centre.
The Marina offers a variety of water pursuits; water skiing, fishing trips, accredited SCUBA diving and Snorkeling courses plus other activities.
Windsurfing, catamarans and paddle skiing are free to resort guests. The Spa centre offers a revitalizing tranquil experience for those who require some pampering.
The Retreat offers hairdressing, massages, fitness consultants, hydrotherapy, saunas, spas, steam rooms etc.
Where To Stay
There are over 200 rooms, all with private terraces or balconies, including themed suites, luxury penthouses and a villa, distributed among Palm, Pool, Beach and Lagoon wings.
The standard of accommodation, food and service throughout the resort is first class.
