Historic Wentworth is a small 'Riverina' town nestled in the junction of the Darling and Murray rivers, close to the NSW, Victorian border. The rivers can be explored from here either by house boat or on a Paddle Steamer Cruise. In former days the town was a busteling customs port and river boat and the legacy has left much to see of historical interest.

Hay is located by the Murrumbidgee River on some of the flattest plains in Australia. The area is predominantly agricultural, famed for its Merino Sheep, lamb , beef and even emu production. A wide variety of crops are cultivated here including rice, wheat , soya, fruit and vegetables. The town also has a colourful past and is skattered with reminders of days gone by. Examples include the Witcombe Fountain, Hay Court House, Bishop's Lodge and Hay Gaol Museum. The Murrumbidgee River offers a variety of water sports as well as being a pleasant place to walk or take a picnic. Hay is located 250 miles north of Melbourne, about half way between Sydney and Adelaide at the junction of the Mid Western, Cobb and Sturt Highways.
