NSW MAP ABOUT HOTELS CAMPING RESTAURANTS

The Manning Valley is named after the river which flows through the lush area which extends 40 miles up the coast from Halidays Point to Diamond Head and then inland 30 miles to the mountainous Great Dividing Range. Taree is at the areas centre as well as being its largest town. A must see are the Ellenborough Falls which can be accessed from a walkway which winds down to their foot. Then Gaze up at the highest single drop falls in the Southern Hemisphere. Spectacular coastal views can be found at Diamond Head, in Crowdy Bay National Park. House boats can be hired to explore the 100 miles of the River Manning as it gently winds it's way through the valley. The beach is never far away and there are plenty to choose from. There are miles of walking, mountain biking and horse riding tracks through forests, like Melaleuca near Saltwater Beach and more mountainous terrain to the north at Comboyne. Other activities include golf, fishing (lots of it!), 4WD touring, fun parks and wild life spotting. The region is a good four miles drive north of Sydney and there is an abundance of accommodation of all standards..
