Fremantle is about ten miles from Perth and came to the attention of the world several years ago when the port city hosted the Americas Cup yacht race. The Challenger Harbour complex was constructed for the event and is a fine addition to the already well appointed city. Fremantle is a lively centre with an excellent reputation for dining out, as a place for a fine cup of coffee or something a little stronger in one of the many bars.
