Sydney Australia is a city of contrasts, from its modern skyline, to its secluded and illustrious beaches of which Bondi Beach and Palm Beach are but two of many. There are several ways to view and to move around the city ;by bus, train , helicopter, small aircraft, ferry, car, amphibious vehicle, jet boat or by foot. A monorail runs a short circular route through Sydney, stopping at the QVB (Queen Victoria Building) and Darling Harbour / Cockle Wharf , a playground of new complexes, cafes and restaurants . The view from the observation deck of Centre Point Tower, in the heart of the city is a good way to get your bearings.
The Opera House and Harbour Bridge are arguably Sydney's most photographed and popular locations and are awe-inspiring even in the midst of darkness. For the last few years it has been possible to walk over the famous steel arches of the Harbour Bridge ,legally. The Bridge Climb operates throughout the day and evening and allows intrepid tourists to view the city in a way not possible before.
To the north of Sydney are some of Australia's best kept secrets (well to visitors anyway). The beaches stretch from Manly to Palm Beach with Harbord, Curl Curl, Dee Why, Collaroy,Narrabeen, Whale Beach in between. The popular soap opera, Home and Away is filmed in Palm Beach. Sydney does offer it all from the beautiful harbour, to the beaches and further afield to The Blue Mountains.
