Port Pirie is located on the Spencer Gulf,130 miles north of Adelaide.

The town is a centre for heavy industry and is a cog in the great Australian machine which produces a significant proportion of the World's precious metal commodities

As well as metal based industry Port Pirie is a centre for fishing and grain production. The town is located on the mouth of river which shares the same name. Port Pirie, is contemporary and controlling, as this busy city plays a significant roll in the states' prosperity.

Adelaide Airport has both international and domestic terminals and is around 6km (4 miles) west of the city. By car, the journey into the city should take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
