
Brampton Island Overview
Brampton Island, classified as a National Park Island, is a Whitsunday Island resort located 30 Km north east of Mackay and around 70 Km south east of Airlie Beach in the southern entrance of the Whitsunday passage.
Hamilton Island is located some 50km south of Brampton.
A relatively small resort (jsut over 100 rooms) is a well established on Brampton and like the other Whitsunday resorts offers a unique holiday experience.
There are 12 golden beaches, wealking trails, spectacular views and to top it al, Brampton and The Whitsunday Islands are set amongstl The Great Barrier Reef.
There is nothing quite like an island holiday.
Bluewater Restaurant
Brampton Islands Bluewater Restaurant is the main dining area for the resort. Full buffet breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9.30am, smorgasbord lunch from 12.30pm to 2.00pm and 3 course table d'hote or themed buffet dinner from 6.30pm every night.
The Restaurant offers ana la carte menu from 6 to 9pm on Monday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's. Weather permitting, the restaurant serves a seafood and barbeque buffet on Tuesday's and Friday's.
Romantic private beach dinners are available (surcharge applies).
The indoor and outdoor Aqua Bar is open daily from 9.30am to late. serving drinks including cocktails, smoothies, fresh juices, coffee and snack food.
The Aqua Bar features complimentary evening entertainment.
Other dining options include a Private Sunset Dinner Cruise, an outdoor, very intimate and romantic dining experience under the stars called Sea Salt at Brampton and even a private picnic beach.
Explore The Great Barrier Reef
Brampton island is ideal for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, and excursions operate from the islands own marina.
The Fantasea operated high speed catamarans will whisk you to the 'Reefworld' moored in the outer reef.

Getting there
Both Virgin Blue and Jetstar offer flights to Mackay. Brampton Island has a choice of Air of sea launch transfer service from Mackay Airport.
TheCumberland Group
Brampton Island, like several other islands in the Cumberland group of Whitsunday Islands, was named after a town in the beautiful English Lake District (Cumberland).
Brampton Island sits adjacent and to the south, of Carlise Island. Carlisle is another town in The English Lake District.
Over the years Brampton Island has been used for rearing sheep, growing coconut palms and even to breed horses for the Indian Army.
Comprehensive Activities
As Brampton Island is almost entirely National Park there are walking trails throughout the island, leading from the resort. There are guided resort walks including a garden walk, night walk and a birds & butterflies walk.
If you want a break from lying on one of the seven beaches, there are a variety of other activities including catamaran sailing, windsurfing, a 6 hole chip & putt golf course, tennis, aqua aerobics, archery, basketball, beach badminton, beach cricket, beach volleyball and more.
The Sea Spa
The Sea Spa is set amongst tropical gardens and offers a full list of treatments includeing a range massages, facials, beauty treatments, pedicures, manicures, mens treatments and the signature Sea Spa Rituals.
The Blue Room at Brampton island provides has a relaxing lounge area called 'The Blue Room' which overlooks the beautiful Whitsunday passage and includes an internet kiosk area. Board games and a history area are available.
