Finding the times throughout Australia can be confusing since the country spans three time zones. Also the A.C.T, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and Lord Howe Island operate 'Daylight Saving' which normally begins from the last weekend in October and finishes in the last weekend in March.

For example if within Australia and you wish to phone interstate to eg Sydney then prefix number with 02 so 02 XXXX XXXX
If you are overseas and wish to phone eg Sydney then prefix number with the International Direct Dial prefix (IDD) and 61 2. The IDD is dependant on the origin and destination country combination so check with your telephone provider. So eg to telephone from the UK the full number would be 00 61 2 XXXX XXXX
